I recently began seeking a grant for my small community center. We specialize in helping troubled kids. We have several programs for youth, meant to help them gain employment, become independent, and escape drug use and gangs.
The economy has put us in dire straights, however, so we've had to look for alternative forms of funding. A friend referred me to this company called Four Seasons Business Solutions. I've never considered getting a grant before - we've always relied on private donations. The economy hurt us badly.
Four Seasons Business Solutions connected us with a grant making company in California that provided grants for youth programs. It took some time for them to find the grantmaker, but grants are scarce in this economy, so I'm thankful they found one at all.
In the end, we got funded by Community Outreach in California for $68,000. We weren't asking for much to begin with, but the amount they provided not only covered basic operating costs but allowed us to expand our operations to include more kids. I'm very grateful to Community Outreach and Four Seasons Business solutions for making this possible. I just wish the process could've been a little faster.
